Sara was a drifter by nature. She belonged nowhere and to no one. The only place where she felt, she belonged was deep into the mountains. A small cabin perched on hills. Cars or any mode of transport didn’t reach there. It was at least an hour’s trek from the base to that quaint cabin.
It was a long weekend off from work and Sara didn’t want to spend it partying around. She packed her bags, topped fuel tank of her car, took some basic necessities and moved out in the dawn hours. With good speed , she could reach the place before noon. With not a soul around, she carried her rucksack on her back like the pro trekker she was. Just the sight of the cabin from afar, filled her with joy. She reached there , opened its squeaky doors, made herself a cup of tea and got settled. Unlike the new age writers, she rarely used laptop to write. For her the flow of ink from her pen, the stain of ink on the paper, was almost like a meditation. And in this surrounding with just some birds and gushing winds to give her company, the words started flowing and she began to create her masterpiece. Her masterpiece which was written in her own handwriting , in the deep blue Syahi.
